We are looking for people to join our ministry team. Give a couple of years of your life to serve God with us in Kaharlyk in the areas of:

• English Lessons
• Youth/Sports Outreach
  
• Project Leaders & Trained Specialists: Future enterprise includes: worm farming, greenhouses, brick making, farming, pig farming, biogas fueled cogeneration,  and others. We are looking for people with areas of expertise in these and other fields i.e. construction, marketing, management, leadership training, alcohol rehabilitation and more.

Help out with a project

• Church Building: these projects are mainly to do with our expanding ministry capabilities at the church.  Since our vision is for community transformation, the projects are strategic things that must take place as move forward in attaining our goals.  The church building is becoming a community centre.  That’s great, but it’s a soviet era building that is 40+ years old and needs a lot of work.  The building has a strong foundation but is in need of cosmetic and functional replacement.   There are a number of options or stages of renovation any of which will help us move toward our goal of having an attractive facility that reflects our vision for the community and what God has done in our hearts.   As our facilities are improving, our outreach/mercy ministries will also.  After ministering to people we really want our church building to be a place that they will run to.

New Fence – the summer of 2010 we started construction on a new fence around our building.  click here to find out more and and what still needs to be done.	Hall Expansion – our hall currently holds about 70 people comfortably.  We often are full to capacity on Sunday mornings and soon we’ll need to remove an existing wall and expand our hall to hold another 40 people.  Project cost: $2,000	New Windows - The windows in our building are very old and not energy efficient.  We are replacing them one by one with new vacuum sealed windows.  Each window costs $250.
Ride-on lawnmower – we have a park in the front of our church’s property and the upkeep of the park is our responsibility.  Besides having nicely kept up church grounds we would like to be able to bless our city by mowing various areas in the city to keep Kaharlyk looking nice.  Cost of a ride-on mower: $5,000	New Church Van – our church has outgrown the 8 passenger van that we’ve been using for the last 7 years (and it is nearly dead) and we are praying for a larger van that can be used for various ministries. Cost: $15,000	Sound Equipment: as we remodel our hall we will need to upgrade our sound equipment.  We are currently using a portable sound system that dos not have the capabilities of expanding when we expand our hall.  Cost of new system: $2,500.

• Book Publishing: We are involved in a Ukraine based non-profit publishing house that publishes and distributes God-centered Christian books to build up the church here in Ukraine as well as in Russia and the Russian speaking areas of the world.  For more information about how you can get involved in book publishing visit www.inlumine.org.
